Identifying shorebirds almost as hard as sparrows. This is a juvenile Black Bellied Plover (thanks Rich M) with a Dunlin in the background. This is Plum Island, which is always a good place for some early morning shorebird shots.
In an effort to get some Christmas Card pics, got this at Meadowbrook in Arlington. The Merlin app helped with the calls to bring him in close.
I drove from LA to Bosque Del Apache to get a Snow Goose. Zilch. Luckily they came to Parker River (briefly) and got this one and his family.
