Boy in Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is one of the best red rock sites to see in Arizona. An opportunistic shot came my way when I looked to my left and saw this little boy looking at his family.

Snowy Owl in Marsh

From the Forward Bird Blind at Parker NWR, this was shot from a long distance. We caught the snowy checking us out, with a nice backdrop of Ipswich hills.

Sandhill Cranes barking

I tried to get Sandhills in New Mexico while driving back from LA. No luck. So when they showed up in Mass I made the effort to get them. Day one i walked about 7 miles with the camera / tripod in freezing weather. Nothing. Day 2, went back and saw them. I got some good shot at a distance but then circled around them into the woods. Got this shot.

Horshoe Bend on the Colorado River

We were on a family vacation and had this stop on our itinerary. I was one of many photographers getting shots, close to sundown, but not quite. yet I made a strategic save of a tipping tripod and camera, which almost tilted over the side!

Indian Man

One of the more interesting aspects of traveling outside of the big cities in India and into the countryside is seeing the small villages and people living in them. I got this shot of an older Indian man working in a roadside stall.

Christ the Redeemer

Eiffel Tower during Paris Accord

I took a walk from my hotel and headed towards the city center. You could see the Eiffel tower from far off and headed towards it and got this shot. It was during the time global leaders were in the city finalizing the Paris Climate Agreement hence the banner.

Snowy Marsh

An unusual October snow storm led to this shot at Assabet NWR.

Old Fort Guard Shack - Consitution Hill

In Johannesburg, the Old Fort housed Nelson Mandela while awaiting trial and Winnie Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi. It's a historic, terrible place.

Indonesion kids at Temple

This is an old photo (almost 30 years ago) from a trip to Yoyogarta in the island of Java, Indonesia. This city is known for ancient temples, one of which is the Hindu Prambanan. These kids were playing amongst the site when I asked them to stop for a shot, which they were happy to do. I wonder where they are today.

Golden Gate from Bakers Beach

At one end of Bakers Beach (a nude beach btw, which I did not know!) you come close to the rocks and can get a good shot of the bridge. This was late in the day and crowds were low. My phone died and relied on the kindness of strangers, who were now clothed to recharge it so I could taxi back to the hotel.

Pelican at Cape Canaveral

Visiting Cape Canaveral to see a SpaceX launch (which was aborted) there were dozens of Pelicans lounging on the rocky breakwater.

Anhinga with fish

At the Everglades and walking along one of the boardwalk trails, we got this lucky shot.

Early one morning, after the east coast meetings started, I took this shot while listening in on some type of status call. A good shot while multi-tasking.
