The photographer next to me told me this guy might be injured which is why he was so close to shore. Apparently he was injured by his mother (!!) a day or so earlier. He might have been hiding from them - who knows.

On the first reservoir in IRWD I came across I came across this pair. They were very obliging and even came closer to shore.
