Big Badlands Overlook
Right as you enter the park, there is a turnout on the left with the first views of the "Wall" and start to see the effects of millions of years of deposition and erosion
Badlands
More views of the Wall. The layers represent deposits over time, separated by millions of year per layer, dating back to when this area of the country was actually a sea.
Badlands - Butte
A butte just outside of the Badlands Overlook
Badlands Overlook
You can hike into the area and capture views of the valleys and see that life does exist
This is a natural formation (I think!)
Yellow Mounds
View from Cedar Pass
Just past the Badlands Overlook is Cedar Pass which is a hike up the side of one of the buttes (easy) with more vegetation.
A different and more colorful landscape are the Yellow Mounds which we saw on our way to Pinnacles
Female Big Horn Sheep and Lamb
We caught a group of big horn sheep on the drive out to Wall.
