This Red Tailed Hawk is not uncommon to see at Ipswich River. I saw him perched on top of a Blue Bird nest and shuffled closer and closer until he decided to get away.
Seagull on a post, Salisbury Beach, MA
There was not much to see that day. Most birds were scared off by the sounds coming from down river of shotguns of the duck hunters!! This gull did not mind though.
We went to the Cape to watch a SpaceX takeoff. Well, it didn't. The cancellation came at something like T -30. But, there were tons of pelicans on the rocks and I got a great closeup shot of this guy.
These birds aren't too timid, being accustomed to the heavy flow of tourists. But even so, it was an opportunity to get a great close up shot. The surprise was the jeweled eye look. Pretty interesting.
I was watching my son's baseball game, played at the Pingree school, and had the big lens for game shots. There was a nearby pond and I spotted this heron type bird crossing the water. I got a great reflection shot.

I was in a bird blind trying to get shots of a family of Waxwings in the tree. Patience paid off when then flew into the bush right in front of me. Very pleased with the result.
